We are very happy to report that the applicant for z-100 has formally withdrawn there application for the property along Bells Ferry and North Booth Rd. The BFCA would like to that everyone who wrote to the commissioners for helping get this defeated!!
BUT!!!!
They aint done!! This is their latest release on their plans. BE DILLIGENT! If anyone sees any construction activity at all on this property call Cobb County Zoning immediately. The cannot proceed on their plans without going to the county first, regardless of what they say!!
We will be announcing the location of our International Village on 10/26. We have been open, honest and transparent with all of our supporters and opposition that we offered the county the first right of refusal to purchase the property for their use. If they do not want to purchase and provide a park for the community then please simply support our private investment for offering a high quality venue to serve the community. Should the county proceed and acquire we will open our facility just a few miles away at a location that we have under contract as our back up, with the same opening schedule that is zoned for our use. Should the county choose not to purchase the site than there is no reason for us to be prevented? The TPA Group has decided to withdraw their zoning application and we will move forward on all 50 acres. The draft of the site plan is now up while it is being completed and polished. We have removed the commercial parcels and added green space in their locations. We will post our Volunteer Application under our Get Involved tab on our website for those who want to be involved in the process. Since there is no zoning approval required for us to proceed under the existing R20 zoning guidelines we respectfully request the support of the community and social media. Please “Like” our Facebook page, share our story, sign our Petition on our website and support our plans for the property.
